Dogs and their owners showed up early Saturday morning last week, to begin training classes sponsored by the East Aldine District.

The event known as “Paws in the Park” was scheduled from 9 a.m. in Crowley Park, off Lauder Road. However, due to a scheduling conflict, the instructors for the class were not available, and the classes will start again next month, August 10th, according to the district coordinator, Natali Lacasa.

On hand this week were many dogs, owners, photographers and newsmen, and the Sheriff’s bicycle patrol.

The public is invited next month to take advantage of this free professional dog training course. Just bring your dog and vaccination papers to the park around 9 a.m. next month. Free gifts and a t-shirt will also be provided to the first ten participants.
