Luby’s Culinary Services, a segment of Luby’s Inc., has signed a multi-year agreement with Lone Star College System to manage the foodservice operations for the system’s newest location.
Luby’s etc., the brand’s retail dining food court, opened today at LSC-University Park. The recently renovated 4,500 square foot dining facility is open to the public and the 3,500 students and faculty at the college, located at State Highway 249 and Louetta Road.
Luby’s etc., provides customers with traditional Luby’s (NYSE: LUB) cafeteria offerings in addition to a variety of food stations including a salad bar, made-to-order grill and build-your-own deli stations.
Houston-based Luby’s Culinary Services will also provide catering for the 14,000 square foot conference center, which has 19 conference rooms and exhibition space.
With nearly 60,000 students in credit courses last fall, Lone Star College System is the third largest community college system in Texas, and the largest higher education institution in the Houston area.
