This training can help save lives and protect property.

CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams) training is designed to help prepare you, your family, and neighbors in the event of disruptions and potential hazards before and after disaster strikes when emergency personnel are not available.

This 8 week course is taught by fire service, emergency medical and law enforcement professional in their fields from your community.

Classes start Monday, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, July 9th, 2012 at the East Aldine District Offices at 5333 Aldine Mail Route, Houston, TX 77039.

Classes cover the following topics:
Week 1: Disaster Preparedness
Week 2: Small Fire Suppression
Week 3: Medical Operations – Treatment Strategies
Week 4: Medical Operations – Triage
Week 5: Light Search and Rescue
Week 6: Team Organization and Disaster Psychology
Week 7: Terrorism Awareness (FBI)
Week 8: Disaster Simulation Drill

Manual and Starter Backpack Kit provided.
