policeweekThe Houston Police Department will observe National Police Week beginning Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 2013. The purpose of this observance is to increase the public’s awareness of the role of police officers and to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives so that we can live in safety and peace.

The Houston Police Academy, located at 17000 Aldine Westfield, will be conducting free tours of the facility. These tours will begin with an orientation at 9:45AM and conclude at 1PM

Displays and demonstrations from the following divisions/units:
K-9 Motorcycle Robot Bomb Squad Dive Team Helicopter Mounted Patrol S.W.A.T. Police Pursuit Driving

Tours are scheduled via e-mail and must include the approximate number of attendees, grade(s), contact person, and school district information. Your group may bring sack lunches and picnic at our facility after the tours have concluded. The tours are scheduled on a first come first serve basis so please schedule your tour as soon as possible.
