On Saturday February 22 a Merit Badge College was held at the Lone Star College Greenspoint Center in partnership with the Aldine Pathfinder District and supported by the East Aldine Management District.
Over 100 Scouts and Explorers attended the inaugural event. The event allowed scouts to take courses at the college and earn merit badges related to topics ranging from engineering and game design to animal science and chemistry.
The event was a combined effort by the three organizations to promote scouting, college attendance and interest in (STEM) science, technology, engineering and mathematics by youth from the Aldine area.
