La Original Lupita’s Restaurant is a participating restaurant in the Healthy Dining Matters (HDM) program.
Pictured is Melizza Mendoza, Nutrition Consultant and Registered Dietitian for Healthy Dining Matters at Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services. With her help, we reached another milestone yesterday.
HDM was able to get another restaurant owner to stop using lard in their rice preparation through health education on nutritious substitutions in food prep. Thanks Melizza and great work!
