Overview

● A distribution site will be set up in East Aldine to help community members affected by
the flooding.
● The site will be distributing items such as: hygiene items, household cleaning supplies,
diapers, school supplies, water, food.
● There will also be a mobile unit driving around the community and dropping off supplies
in areas in need

Volunteer Schedule

● Distribution site
○ Morning shift (9:00am – 2:00pm)
○ Evening shift (1:00pm – 7:00pm)
● Mobile Unit
○ 10:00am – 4:00pm

Volunteer Roles

● Intake (3-5 * )
– First point of contact with community members.
– Responsible for completing triage assessment.
– Set up intake area
● Runner (5)
– Responsible for maintaining distribution area; organizing and cleaning up as needed.
– Responsible for handling items to community members.
– Set up tables and distribution area
● Floater (2-4)
– Assist Intake and Runner volunteers as needed
– Complete other tasks as needed, such as; run errands to Escapade office,
– Make kits for mobile units
● Information (2-4)
– Provide information to community members.
– Refer community members to relevant organizations
– Research information about local assistance organizations and services
● Mobile Unit Driver (1) BR Staff
– Drive mobile unit around East Aldine community to identify areas in need (Baker Ripley
Defensive Driver Certification needed)
– Restocks mobile unit as needed
● Mobile Unit Runner (1)
– Copilot
– Provides assistance to Mobile Unit Surveyor and Mobile Unite Driver as needed
– Restocks mobile unit as needed
● Mobile Unit Surveyor (2)
– Surveys community on foot
– Informs community members about Mobile Unit
– Hands items to community members
– Restocks items as needed
