On April 26, 2019, the East Aldine District was on hand to help Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez and other area dignitaries, cut the ribbon at the new 9-1-1 Call Center located in the EAD Town Center. The Town Center is a partnership with the HCSO 9-1-1, Lone Star College, BakerRipley, and the East Aldine District. Gerald Overturff and EAD Board Members were on hand to welcome the community to the center and participate in the event.
