“How My Community College Experience Influenced My Life”
Every year five Lone Star College System students are selected through an essay writing contest to describe “How My Community College Experience Influenced My Life” at the Lone Star College Foundation’s Chancellor’s Breakfast. The finalists are awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the LSC Foundation for their winning essay.
Stories of overcoming obstacles in hopes of obtaining an education are the common themes in all of the essays.
