The next date for them to be at Jed’s is March 19, 2015 at 6:30 a.m. where they will get signed up for their pets to get spay and neutered, if they don’t get there in time they can be put in a list, after being in the list 2 times they will get priority the third time.
Free spaying and neutering is available from the SNAP Mobile Spay-Neuter Clinic to Harris County residents who qualify. Clients will be selected from a lottery which will begin as early as 6:30 AM. The lottery starts when the SNAP Advance person arrives on site. Remember no food for your dog/cat after 10 P.M. the night prior to surgery. Exceptions to this rule are dogs/cats 4-6 months old. All animals must be brought on a leash or in a carrier. All dogs and cats should be a minimum of 4 months old and maximum of 8 years old. East Aldine residents can qualify with proof of participation in one of the following programs: Food Stamps, Harris Health System Eligibility Program, Free Lunch program in schools, Medicaid, major VA disability, Section 8 housing. SSI/SSD, TANF, CHIPS and WIC. If you do not qualify, please call (713) 862-2001 for more information on reduced-cost spaying and neutering.
In case you do not qualify for free services at the SNAP mobile clinic, reduced cost spay-neuter surgery and animal wellness services are available at the SNAP Houston Spay-Neuter and Animal Wellness Clinic. A Spay-neuter appointment is required by calling (713) 862-8001. No appointment is necessary for a wellness visit and you pay only $25.00 (does not include vaccines or prevention care.)
