The East Aldine Community Empowerment Team in partnership with BakerRipley is organizing a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar (VDVR) training on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5:45-7:00 PM.
Location: East Aldine Management District Office at 5333 Aldine Mail Rd. 77039.
In order to encourage voter registration, Texas election law provides for County Voter Registrars to designate individuals to assist in the registration of eligible persons to vote. These individuals are appointed as VDVRs and operate under State rules and the supervision of the County Voter Registrar.
To be eligible to serve as a VDVR, the basic requirements are:
• At least 18 years of age
• A citizen of the United States
• A resident of Texas
All are welcome to attend this training. There is no cost to attend.
