The County has developed a CDBG-DR Affordable Rental Housing Program and $80 million will be available towards rental property acquisition, rehabbing and new construction. Harris County will be issuing an RFP in mid-October to access these funds. The purpose of the event is to provide guidance to rental property owners and developers who are interested in learning how to leverage Harris County funding to rehab their property or build new affordable developments. There will also be an opportunity to connect contractors with developers who might be looking for sub-contractors.
