The tradition continues on the golf links on Monday, November 21 at The Woodlands Country Club Palmer Course when the annual Lone Star College Foundation Golf Tournament tees off.
The Florida Scramble begins at 10 a.m. with registration, practice and lunch, courtesy of Abby’s Catering, followed by a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Hole-in-one prizes, contests on the holes and door prizes will be featured throughout the day and the tournament will end with an awards ceremony and dinner at 5 p.m.
“Our tournament provides assistance to those students who couldn’t attend college without these necessary funds for tuition and fees,” said Darcy Mingoia, executive director of the LSC Foundation.
“And with more than 75,000 enrolled in credit courses this semester, the needs are greater than ever,” she said.
Education changes the lives of students, Mingoia explained. “The skills gained on our campuses prepares students for the workforce,” she added.
