April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Crime Stoppers is committed to educating our community on child abuse prevention and fighting child abuse in our community. They teamed up with Studio Movie Grill to show the award winning documentary Family Affair on a family’s struggle with child abuse, and conduct a panel discussion about fighting child abuse in our community.
Family Affair unveils secrecy and unspeakable realities as two sisters survive severe childhood abuse by their father. These invincible women paint a picture of their harrowing girlhoods, the nature of forgiveness and eternal longing for family and love.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Those interested can register on Crime Stoppers’ website.
