East Aldine residents, businesses and friends are invited to participate in three exciting celebrations this month at the expanding East Aldine Town Center at 2800 Aldine Mail Route Road.
The dynamic, free events show the growth, hard work and colorful makeup of East Aldine and the enrichment of the area by the East Aldine Management District.
On Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, from 4-7 p.m., the BakerRipley East Aldine Campus will host its Fall Festival featuring a pumpkin patch, music, games, food and much more fun for kids and adults.
BakerRipley is the regional non-profit agency that provides a wide range of social services to people in the Houston area.
On Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at 10 a.m., the management district will celebrate the official opening of Phase 2 of the Town Center, including a multi-functional office building, an amphitheater and audience lawn, play areas and outdoor water features.
The public is welcome to join community leaders in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a look at the special features of the building and its surroundings.
Besides the BakerRipley outpost, the original Town Center campus includes a HOPE Clinic center, the Lone Star College East Aldine campus and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office 911 call center.
Phase Three of the Town Center will focus on bringing new retail businesses to the neighborhood.
On Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., the District will host a Dia De Los Muertos (Day Of The Dead) Fall Festival featuring live entertainment, face painting, games, food trucks, and more.
The festival will be preceded by a 9 a.m. parade, hosted by Harris County Pct. 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia, starting at MacArthur High School, 4400 Aldine Mail Route Road.
